On 5 August 2024, at Altab Ali Park, London, VfGB President Dr. Hasanat M Husain MBE gave an interview following the departure of Sheikh Hasina from office.
In his address, Dr. Hasanat congratulated the youth, students, and all protesters whose determination and sacrifices played a significant role in shaping this historic moment. He expressed his gratitude to those who stood for democratic values and social justice, and conveyed solidarity with the people of Bangladesh during this period of transition.
